Jerry Bix was a custom guitar builder from North Devon, UK. He generally made two grades of instruments - the Exotics (like this one) and the Standards. Both grades had set maple necks with ebony fingerboards and mother of pearl inlays, but the Exotics had fancier inlay shapes, figured body woods, fancier finishes and higher spec hardware. The figured wood pickguard, as seen on this super strat, was a typical Bix feature.
