  • electric guitars

Series name:

Dates of manufacture:

1997 to 2005

The Blade Texas (TE-2) was introduced around 1997. Although the Blade Texas looks like a straight ahead strat copy - it has some additional features jumbo frets, staggered SG-36 tuners and built in active gain boost circuit (controlled by a microswitch on the pickguard). The FT-3 tremolo has specially designed roller saddles to increase tuning stability and sustain. I believe these were available with 3 Levinson VS-1 single coils with a white pickguard, or as HSS configuration with a black pickguard. The Texas was available with a Fender style vintage headstock - but not on models distributed in the USA for legal reasons - these had the Blade style headstock. By 2005 the Texas Standard had been replaced by the Texas Standard Pro model, with newly designed VSC electronics.
