Information:
Alden (or Aldens) was a Chicago based mail order catalog of the 1950s and 1960s who distributed under their own brand. Until around 1963 these guitars were either unmarked or had a generic headstock logo or a floral design with a letter A. Some were made by Harmony of Chicago - others could have been made elsewhere. Later Alden used the Holiday brand on their guitars.
With the rise of shopping malls in the 1960s to 1970s shopping became a leisure activity and mail order companies couldn't compete. The Alden catalog eventually folded in 1982.
