Information:

Sheldon Currington has a background in building racing cars and applied his knowledge in metal fabrication to making metal-bodied semi hollow guitars - making his first prototype in 2010. This prototype ended up being played by James Hetfield and led to an order for 2 custom guitars from the Metallica frontman. Currington's guitar company is called Bad Seed and his guitars have some unique features. They are all made with a semi-hollow metal body, made of Titanium or Aircraft Grade Steel and all have a wooden neck-through neck (see patent link below). The end result is guitars with a wooden tone, but with a brilliant attack and note definition. The Bad Seed range includes semi-hollow electric guitars, basses & resonator guitars.
