Mark Bailey founded Bailey Guitars in 1998, having learned guitar making while working at Patrick Eggle Guitars. As well as making guitars Bailey offers a "Build your own guitar" (BYO) course and some of his students have gone on to start up their own guitarmaking businesses including Nathan Sheppard Guitars, Arrowhead guitars, DBD guitars, Ray Turley, Mike Tarr, and Dave Terry.
