Information:

Nick Benjamin built his first guitar in 1990, at the age of seventeen.  After study Engineering in University he gravitated back to a career as a guitar maker. His workshop is in a converted brewery building in the centre of Lewes, in the southeast of England. Lewes is unusual in the world of guitar making in that a small group of makers has developed here; each working separately but supporting one another and sharing ideas. It is here that Nick Benjamin learned steel string guitar making with Jeff Chapman and classical/flameco construction with Stephen Hill. Over the years he has designed many different models, redesigning or dropping them completely as his taste and experience develops. He typically makes around 12 instruments a year and operates a waiting list system for prospective customers.
