Benoit de Bretagne is a French luthier specializing in guitars including nylon & steel string acoustic guitarss as well as electric guitars and ukuleles. Benoit de Bretagne  studied both violin and classical guitar as a child in Montreuil. He began making guitars as a teenager using books as a reference. Benoit studied with Master luthier Peter Barton at the Leeds College of Music, graduating in 1999. He then apprenticed at London Guildhall University under the direction of Dave Whiteman and gained a further degree. In 2001 Benoit returned to France and opened his workshop in Bernieulles (Pas-de-Calais) . Benoit has had a series of high profile customers, and has also contributed articles and edited magazines. Benoit also offers guitar making classes.
