Isaac Berumen began building instruments around 2004 in his garage in Austin, Texas. Initially he built ’59 Les Paul replicas and several custom one-off custom guitars. Starting in 2010, he had two years experience working for Teye Guitars but he is now working independently as a designer and builder. Berumen's guitars are handmade, one at a time in his one man workshop. Many of the components like back plates, pickguards and pickup covers are also handmade. Berumen's FlatTop is his flagship model, but carve tops and double cuts are also available. Unusual finish options are a Berumen specialty - including the real copper "Copper Top" model.
