Patrick Alexander runs Blackspot Guitars from his workshop in Bristol, UK. Alexander has over 20 years experience as a guitar designer and builder. Patrick Alexander’s father is a joiner and Alexander was able to use his tools and workshop to make his first guitar at the age of nine. As well as being a keen guitarist, Alexander studied design, and has an MA in fine art. This was followed by a period of studying cabinet making at the London College of Furniture. Blackspot produce both acoustic and electric guitars and all work is undertaken in-house, up to coloring and finishing with a thin vintage style lacquer.
