Blue Eagle Guitars USA started in 2002. Jazz guitarist Ray Bernard asked Rick Williamson to apply his refinishing skills from hot rod building & dragster restoration to refinish a guitar. Ray Bernard  had been impressed with the finishes on the collector cars and asked Williamson to refinish an old guitar of his to commemorate blues music. This started their guitar refinishing business. Soon after they acquired a federal registered trademark and started making their own carbon fiber jazz guitars. These guitars are all constructed in the USA in Tucson, Az with the US Patent and Trademark office (USPTO) registered with the serial number 76361553.
