Buddy Blaze background in woodworking, machining and guitar played and started building and “hot-rodding” guitars in the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas in 1985. In less than 6 months from making his first guitar, the country music legend Lee Greenwood's Band was playing exclusively Blaze guitars and basses. Buddy made guitars for Vivan Campbell including the blueburst polka dot guitar before joining Kramer where he developed the  Kramer “NightSwan” (also with Campbell). Buddy also  created of the “Dean From Hell” for Dimebag Darrell Abbott and collaborated with Dean Guitars to launch the Buddy Blaze Signature Dean ML.

Buddy launched Buddy Blaze Fine Stringed instruments in Kailua Kona, Hawaii in 2005 with the help of his wife Joyce and their son Matt. In  2012, Buddy  re-located his operation back to Dallas, Texas.
