Eddie Carlino makes electric guitars and guitar straps and has a retail music store in Medford, Massachusetts. He built his first guitar in high school wood shop. He built a few more over the years but worked in supermarkets and pharmacies for the next 28 years. Following redundancy, in 2003 used his business skills to open his own guitar store. He then developed his own range of guitar models, spending years to get the shapes and ergonomics the way he wanted. His guitars have since been played by Paul Stanley, Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick, Paul Crook from Meatloaf, Jimmy Vivino and even Conan O’Brien the Tonight Show Host. Thanks to Rick Nielsen, his guitars have appeared on the Tonight show and on American Pickers, He also has a more affordable Carlino guitars line made in Korea. Carlino is also known for his high quality guitar straps including ones made from fabric to studded leather to Rhinestone encrusted stage straps to lightning bolts, and flames.
