Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Casimi Guitars specializes in hand-crafted boutique guitars. Head Luthier Matthias Roux did his apprenticeship and  worked for 10 years at Maingard Guitars. His partner in Casimi is Designer and Musician Matthew Rice who has a background in jewellery and Graphic Design and Fine Arts. Matthew Rice also worked in the Maingard shop specializing in design and inlay work.
