Kent Chasson made his first guitar in high school in 1979 but then pursued a career as a professional wood worker for the next 15 years before returning to guitar building in 1995. Since then he has studied with Charles Fox, Frank Ford and Ervin Somogyi as well as drawing on the advice of fellow Bellingham resident and luthier Dake Traphagen. Chasson specializes in steel stringed acoustics, with a range of standard designs from parlor to jumbo size.
