The Clover Basses brand was founded in 1986 in Recklinghausen Germany by Reinhard and Sabine Jedamzik. In 2006 the brand was owned by Jörg Neugebauer in Munich. In 2016 ownership of Clover transferred to NBE Corp. in the Czech Republic. In the 1990s Clover introduced a bass called the Bass-Tard!
