Condor was founded by Carlos Cesar Medeiros in 1993. Medeiros started working as a luthier in Rio de Janeiro in 1960 at the age of 14. Over the following decades his skills developed and led to partnership between Carlos and renowned Brazilian musicians, such as Celso Woltzenlogel, Norton Morozowicz, Odette Ernest Dias, Nivaldo Ornelas, Danilo Caymmi, Altamiro Carrilho, Alceu Valença, Raul Mascarenhas, Radames Gnattali and the unparalleled Tom Jobim and Hermeto Pascoal. Starting with a small workshop, he became the owner of one of the largest importers and exporters in the country, currently based in Brasilia.
