Conti guitars was established by Jazz guitarist Robert Conti who comissioned the first Conti archtop prototype in 2007 from a high quality Korean OEM maker. This led to a full production run of Conti archtops, made from 2009 to 2015. A second generation of guitar models was conceived in 2016, with modifications based on suggestions from Conti's customers.
