Larry Corsa began building guitars after many years of playing Peter Green inspired blues music. He played numerous Les Pauls (including Green's own guitar) in his search to emulate Peter’s complex out-of-phase tone. Eventually he set on replicating the sound by building his own guitar. According to Larry Corsa the keys to the ideal Corsa sound are using minimal finish (like on Gibson's faded models), chambering the body and a specially designed pickup that when in the out-of-phase middle position, nails that Peter Green tone.
