Custom 77 was established in 2007 in Lyon, France as an electric guitar brand, by Jérôme & JB. From the very start they decided to sell direct to customers, bypassing importers and resellers. Their first original model, the Lust For Life, was released in 2008. Followed in 2010 by the The Watcher, the T-Sonic and The Roxy. In 2011, JB and Jérôme launched their second brand: Third Eye Guitars (3YE). This was a more metal oriented brand that focuses on active guitars, baritone scale and 7 strings.
