Information:

Davy Stuart came to making instruments through playing them, predominantly in traditional Celtic music. He made his first instruments in the early 1970s including a mandolin and fiddle. While in University he came into contact with the thriving Folk Revival of the early 1970's and the sessions in Edinburgh's  famed 'Sandy Bell's' pub. He also toured Europe with the pioneering Scottish band Alba and played and recorded various other bands through the 1970s and 1980s. Davy moved to New Zealand in 1989 where he continues to perform as a folk musician but also makes fine hand crafted stringed instruments.
