  • electric guitars

Information:

The Dega company was founded in 1946 in Castelfidardo, Italy by Alberto Morbidoni. One of many accordion makers in that region, Morbidoni's accordions earned a reputation for high quality. The company began making solid-body electric guitars in 1962, initially under the brand name Morbidoni. In 1964-1965 the company used the brand name Dega and also included semi-acoustics, acoustics and bass guitars in their final range. Most of these Dega guitars were exported to the USA where they were distributed by Accordion Importers Inc, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although they stopped making guitars after the mid 1960s the Dega company continued making accordions until Alberto Morbidoni's death in 1999 at the age of 85.

The Dega logo incorporates a music staff which spells out D-E-G-A using notes.
