Joe Gerardi was the mastermind behind Dewey Decibel who introduced the Flipout guitar and the Bottom-Out bass in 2004. These instruments had the neck attached to the wrong end of the body - giving them a bizarre back to front look. Only 500 were made of each, retailing for $299 at the time.
