Romeo Di Giorgio was an Italian immigrant to Brazil. After working for a few years in a luthier's workshop he founded his own company in São Paulo in 1908 to build violins, mandolins and violas. Gradually, what was a small craft workshop became a small factory of stringed instrument factory. The Di Giorgio company has been passed from father to son and maintains its tradition and quality. These days Di Giorgio mainly produce classical and steel stringed acoustic guitars.
