Mehmet Dogu established Dogu Custom Electric Guitars in 2014 under Action Figure Studios as a high-end custom electric guitar design, fabrication, modification and sales group located in Santa Barbara, California. Dogu first started modifying guitars in the mid-1970’s when he painted his ES-335 copy.  He has since owned, played, built or modified lots of guitars, but began as a one-off custom builder in 2013. Dogu has also made many other things  including: architecture, interiors, furniture, lamps, exhibitions, photography, art and art installations, cars and trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, skateboards and more.
