Edward Jones started was a student for six years with the harpsichord maker, Robert Goble. In 1973 Jones continued his studies with guitar maker David J Rubio where he specialised in instruments of the guitar and lute family. In 1979 he left to open his own studio in the North Oxfordshire village of Steeple Aston.
