Electar was the brand name used by Epiphone when they introduced their first amplifiers, electric lap-steels and electric Spanish guitars in 1935. The Electar name was revived by Epiphone in 2015 for the Electar Inspired by "1939" Century Lap Steel guitar and amplifer, a reissue of the Art Deco styled Electar Hawaiian lap steel guitar & amplifier from 1939.
