Elgava guitars were made at the same Moscow factory as the Roden bass in the 1970s and 1980s. According to the neck-plates these guitars were made at the "Moscow Soviet Army experimental accordion factory", the later ones read "Moscow experiemental musical instrument factory" as the factory name was changed in the 1970s. The pickup selector switches on the Elgava guitars were actually domestic light switches!
