Fishbone Bass Guitars was founded in 1993 by John Piskulic and Thom Kieffer. Circa 2010 they had over 20 plus years of experience in bass luthiery and over 30 years combined experience in musical instrument electronics engineering.

Circa 2017 Music Express Canada also distributed Fishbone branded imported basses and guitars (most likely nothing to do with the US Fishbone company).
