Information:

Greg Fryer was a professional guitarist who began repairing and building guitars in 1978 after learning from his friend Nick Thurn. In 1980 he also starting making effect pedals and amplifiers while working with guitar repairer Romney Godden in Brookvale, Sydney. The 1980s and 1990s saw Fryer's reputation grow as he became known throughout Australia for his work for local and international touring acts such as Midnight Oil, INXS, Cold Chisel, Pink Floyd and others. Fryer became well known outside Australia through his work for Brian May which started in 1996 when he made 3 replica guitars for Brian of his famous Red Special guitar. In 1998 he completed a major restoration of Brian’s original Red Special guitar. Greg has also designed and handbuilt pedals and custom Vox amplifiers for Brian May.
