- classical guitars
Jerry Farrell is from Hamilton Ontario Canada. He started out by making violins - and made 20 before building his first classical guitar in 1972 with the help of the Sloane book. Eventually he studied with Jose Romanillos and Gerhard Oldiges in Spain. He worked as a Medical Illustrator and artist for most of his career but still found the time to make over 100 classical guitars. For his classical guitar tops he uses European Spruce which he selects in Austria or Germany and Engelmann Spruce and Cedar from British Columbia.
