Andrew Guyton started making guitars in 1998 after reading 'Make your own electric guitar' by Mervyn Hiscox. At first he supplemented his income by doing repairs - but soon his reputation allowed him to go full time as a guitar builder. As his reputation grew he was asked to restore Brian May's original red special guitar - as well as make replicas of it. Guyton makes a travel version of the red special called the Guyton RS Transformer.
