Hans van Velzen is a guitar maker in Tilburg in the Netherlands. His background is in mechanical engineering but starting in 2004 he studied to become a professional luthier at the CMB in Puurs, Belgium - learning from the likes of Jacky Walraet and Walter Verreydt. He has been working as a professional guitar builder since 2007, and in  2014,  became an officially qualified guitar builder. He graduated from the CMB course in 2015. His focus is on making classical guitars and he prefers instruments from the golden-era of the Spanish guitar.
