In 1969, Ivor Arbiter asked Jim Burns to develop a range of electric guitars for the Dallas Arbiter company. This range was sold under the 'Hayman' brandname. Bob Pearson (previously a Vox employee) also contributed ideas for the Hayman range. The four Hayman models displayed a definite Burns influence.
