The Hernandis brand (also labelled Antonio Hernandis) was owned by the Sherry Brener company of Chicago. Hernandis guitars were made in Japan in the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The later labels typically list the origin of the woods used in their construction. Some of the earlier Antonio Hernandis labels imply manufacture by a Spanish luthier, but this was not the case.
