Hirade is a Takamine brand used for their premium line of classical guitars. The brand is named after luthier Mass Hirade in honor of his contributions to Takamine. Mass Hirade joined Takamine in 1968 and introduced many design and manufacturing improvements. In 1975 Hirade became the president of Takamine and launched an effort to export Takamine guitars across the world.
