Charles Hoffman makes acoustic and classical guitars by hand in Minneapolis. He made his first guitar in 1970 while studying American History at University. In 1971 he opened an instrument repair shop with Rod Belville. Hoffman studied law in the 1980s and worked as a lawyer - but the shop remained open. Retirement from the law in 2008 means that Hoffman is once again making guitars full time.
