Jesse Brace started making guitars in 1991 In the winter of 1991, under the instruction of Michael Dunn for two years.  He then worked ten years for Jean Larrivee. After leaving Larrivee Brace began building guitars under his own brand name in Surrey, British Columbia and was active until at least 2013. Brace made steel string acoustic guitars including a Selmer Maccafferi model.
