JW Van Guitarworks was founded in 2011 by Travis Walker with the idea that a small shop with a dedicated luthier could create custom instruments at an affordable price. With a background in architecture and an eye for detail, Travis began making his own designs. As a small shop builder, Travis personally handles every single step of the build process. From the initial discussions with the customer, to the selection of woods, all of the shaping and forming, to the paint and finishing, to the installation of the electronics, each step is carefully performed by Travis.
