Information: 

The Klira company was a German string instrument maker. Established in 1887 and lasting until 1982. Initially making instruments from the violin family, Klira expanded into acoustic and electric guitar building in the 1950s.

Johannes Klier founded Klira in 1887 in Schönbach  (now known as Luby in the Czech Republic). His son Otto took over the company in 1914. The Klier family left the company in 1946, but the company was re-formed in Erlangen, West Germany. In 1950, the Klira company moved to Bubenreuth.
