Ian Kneipp began making guitars in 1992, under the supervision Eugene Philip (a student of Greg Smallman). Using similar construction methods to Smallman, Kneipp made lattice classical guitars with outstanding dynamic range and fullness of tone. Kneipp retired in 2005 due to failing eyesight.
