Information:

Charles LoBue first started making guitars in the mid 1960s after attending classes with Michael Gurian in Greenwich Village, New York. He opened his own shop, The Guitar Lab, in 1969  (initially with Carl Thompson - an ex employee of Dan Armstrong) doing guitar repairs and setups. Various talented builders worked at The Guitar Lab with LoBue including: Larry DiMarzio and Ralph Novak and LoBue made custom guitars for many well known guitar and bass players in the 1970s. In the late 1970s LoBue relocated to San Francisco and passed away in 1985.
