Luca Waldner is an Italian luthier who makes classical guitars using modern techniques and original designs. His guitars have a system of "regulators" inside and a soundboard that can move with complete freedom. Waldner is a classical player who studied at the Conservatory of Music in Bari and at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto under Stefano Grondona. A year after graduation be began to redirect his efforts towards building guitars, until it eventually became his full time career. Over the years he studied and analysed the guitars of the famous historical Spanish guitar makers. His reference point became the instruments of Antonio de Torres which now form the basis for his own designs.
