Stefano Moccetti has been making guitars since 1982. After many years studying classical guitar he went into making and restoring classical guitars. Swiss-Italian Moccetti first met Jose Luis Romanillos in 1984 in a Zurich luthiery course and later studied in person with Romanillos. This influence shows in the construction of his guitars which have a tone reminiscent of those of Romanillos. Moccetti's building style is also influenced by the many historic instruments he has restored over the years. Moccetti makes all his instruments by hand using traditional techniques and he uses the local Swiss spruce for his sound boards.
