Information:
Modulus Graphite was founded in San Francisco, in part by Geoff Gould a bass player and aerospace engineer (who was a carbon fiber designer on the Voyager probe). Gould had previously made a carbon fiber necked bass in collaboration with Alembic in 1977. Gould founded Modulus Graphite in collaboration with his aerospace colleagues initially to make carbon fiber necks for Alembic but later they made entire bass and guitars. In 2013 the company entered voluntary bankruptcy but employee Joe Perlman continued the company which currently operates in Minnesota.
