in 1972 Marty Lanham moved his family from Northern California to Nashville to pursue his passion for playing and fixing banjos and guitars. Lanham was hired to work at the Gruhn Guitars repair shop where he worked at Gruhn's for eight years, restoring hundreds of instruments while honing his building skillls. In 1985 Lanham became a full-time guitar maker. Nashville Guitar Company instruments were handcrafted guitars designed to sound and play like the pre-War classics.
