Omega

product types:

  • acoustic guitars

Information:

Omega acoustic guitars were made by Kevin Gallagher. Gallagher made each one by hand in a small workshop in eastern Pennsylvania. Select Engleman or Sitka spruce, redwood or western red cedar was used for tops. Backs and sides were made from European flamed maple, American maple, sycamore, cocobola, black walnut, rosewood or mahogany. Kevin Gallagher originally sold guitars in the 1990s under the Gallagher brand name but started using the "Omega Guitars by Kevin Gallagher" brand name to avoid confusion with Don Gallagher - another maker of acoustics. Kevin Gallagher died of pancreatic cancer in 2006 but is remembered as a gifted maker of fine acoustic guitars.
