Paul Schwartz founded Peekamoose Guitars in 1983 as a guitar making and repair business. In the early 1970s Schwartz had worked with  Charlie LoBue, founder of Guitar Lab and LoBue Guitars. At Guitar Lab, Paul worked alongside the likes of Larry Dimarzio, Steve Blucher, Sherwood T. “Woody” Phifer, Ralph Novak and Bob Sindorf. Schwartz provided repair and warranty support services at Guitar Lab.
