Pepe Vergara has been making guitars since his childhood in the 1970s. In 2000 he began making classical guitars professionally - custom designing and handcrafting each guitar to the specifications agreed with its future owner.  He learned the basics of guitar making at Orange Coast College, California and continued mastering his art in Spain, from Valencia to Andalusia. His work is influenced by the styles of Torres, Bouchet, Barbero and the Ramirez Family.  In October 2008, he was joined by his daughter as an apprentice. She studied art in Bologna, Italy, and flamenco in Spain.
