Pete Beer started making guitars in 2001 while studying at Anniesland College in Glasgow. He then studied for a degree in Musical Instrument Technology at London Metropolitan University graduating in 2006. He opened his own workshop in Gloucestershire, moving to Cross, Somerset before returning home to Argyll in 2014. He is based in the village of Blairmore where he continues to build guitars. He also teaches guitar making two days a week in Glasgow Clyde College.
