Ronald Pinkham makes classical and acoustic guitars. Pinkham studied classical and flamenco guitar before embarking on a career as a teacher and builder-restorer of stringed instruments. He set up Woodsound Studio in Lincolnville, Maine. A couple of years later he opened a shop in the nearby town of Camden. in 1989 he moved to a 4,200-square-foot home in a commercial district on U.S. Route 1, above Clam Cove in the hamlet of Glen Cove, Maine. Pinkham makes both steel string and classical instruments in varying grades with advanced designs. From 1990 until 2020 John Blodgett also worked at Woodsound Studio doing repairs, restorations and building mandolin family instruments.
